This Friday...

After a booming start to the year with South Rakkas Crew and Toddla T among many others bringing the heat, Trouble Vision returns to the arches of Corsica Studios with something extra special…

Not only is it Superfilth !!! this Friday (7pm-1am) but there's also this massive line up which has been named one of the top 5 nights of April by iDJ. You could probably have guessed this yourselves just by looking at the flyer. In preparation for this we have two mixes, one from each of the room hosts, Dirty Canvas and Dead Fish.

Dead Fish is the recently conceived imprint of the Italian come London based house don Mowgli, and this main room takeover will act as the Official Dead Fish Label Launch Party. It will also celebrate the second release on the label entitled “The Big Stef” by Solo.

To launch the label, Mowgli and Team Trouble Vision have pulled together an all-star lineup of producers and DJs which will definitely not disappoint. Heading the bill is Riva Starr. Riva had a huge year in 2008 with releases on Jesse Rose’s ‘Made To Play’ label, Claude Von Stoke’s ‘Dirtybird’ imprint and countless releases on Southern Fried. He was also branded one of the Players of The Year 2008 by iDJ, and 2009 is all set to be even bigger.

Next up, hailing all the way from Washington DC, Matt Nordstrom and Dave Nada, better known as Nadastrom will be taking to the decks with one of their 4 turntable specialty sets. After spending months at the top of the Beatport download chart last year, Trouble Vision are proud to be giving Nadastrom their London debut.

Wrapping things up in Room 1 are the core team behind Dead Fish as well has being the first two artists to release upon it. Solo and of course label boss Mowgli, with additional support from Trouble Vision’s very own resident Oli DAB.

Dirty Canvas will host room 2 on this occasion and keeping with the traditions of past Trouble Visions, it’ll be dedicated to a more dub-stepping-hip-hopping-dancehall vibe. Over the last couple of years Dirty Canvas have been true connoisseurs and general pioneers in the development of the dubstep and grime scenes within London, and the lineup which they have put together for us on this occasion is certainly in keeping with their consistently innovative and excitingly high standards.

Fronting proceedings in the Dirty Canvas room is the Bristol wonder kid and Kode9’s prodigy, Joker. With acclaimed releases dropping on Hyperdub and Tectonic to name a couple, Joker is definitely a big talent to look out for in the future. Next up is DMZ, Rinse FM and Fwd>> regular and super sharp DJ, Chef. With one of his characteristic 3 turntable sets, he is bound to set room 2 on fire. Further hefty support comes from the garage stylings of Oneman, the dancehall riddims of The Heatwave & Rubi Dan, the future bass of Mumdance, and last but not least Dirty Canvas residents Tomb Crew, Reecha and Magic.

Last but not least, Trouble Vision wouldn’t be Trouble Vision without the Silent Disco, and with the main two rooms already bursting with talent it falls upon our Trouble Vision residents to embrace the responsibility. The Boog-A-Loo Crew and Hylu will be flexing their reggae/dub infused stylings against the more progressive house cuts of Nick Wittingham, who in turn will be followed by the organized chaos that is The Wolf Soundsystem Feat. Lil’ Red and Grandma in The Bed who will be cutting it up against Solid Gold & Park Ranger.

With over 20 acts on the bill spread across 3 rooms for 8 hours of undiluted fun, and all for a tenner or less, its fair to say that Trouble Vision is swiftly becoming a truly essential event.
