Winning is the way forward...

For The Win Records which is run by Ashburner and Goli, have just released their third and final free EP. You can pick up the rest in this post. This release is filled with a variety of tracks but each and every one is definitely worth a thorough listen. Maybe even two or three! We've heard from these first two before but they're very welcome around these parts so here are some more filthy beats...

I feel him and Jakes are on the same wavelength!

Drive By VIP - Ashburner
Cutthroat - Ashburner

This one definitely grows on you, give it about 3 or 4 listens then you'll see.

Crick It - Ashburner [RUDEEE]

Steady, rolling, well put together beats from the man Earlybird...

Lady Larnaca - Earlybird
Time's Up - Earlybird

Along side those two from Nottingham there are a couple of other up-n-coming artists straight out the Midlands.

Swarms, three producers from Hereford with such a wide range of influences have been sculpting their deep, ambient sound for almost a year now and have already been recognised by the one and only Mary Anne Hobbs. The were recently featured on her Experimental show and continue to get airplay. With a heavy arsenal of tunes already, these are definitely ones to watch! Oh and check their myspace for a sick remix of The Pipettes and other soothing basslines.

Shiver - Swarms [RUDEEE]
Never Step On Me - Swarms

Adam Prescott, after being deeply influenced by Drum & Bass, Jungle and Reggae, has been producing some sick dancfloor smashers! So much so that his Drum & Bass tunes have been featured on Radio 1, go find them in the downloads section! Adam also holds down two regular Dubstep shows on KindaFunkyRadio and After Dark Radio where he has been showcasing more tunes which we have to look forward to. Here are a couple while you wait. Caution, these contain some heavy wobbles!

Iron Wolf - Adam Prescott [RUDEEE]
Recession Beater - Adam Prescott

First release coming soon...

FTW001: Ashburner
A. Cured
AA. Soul Foal

BIG THINGS FROM...

...it's time to put on your dancing shoe and do tha boogaloo...

Yes yes yes, these two boys have been making quite a stir around the underground scene, they've been DJing all over London recently at various nights and have managed to secure themselves a residency with the the hugely successful Trouble Vision. Not so well known for their Dubstep but now that they've started producing, they're coming out with some MASSIVE tunes. Sound of the summer! Get these pumping out of your speakers and you'll know what I mean. Regular readers may remember I featured one of their tracks in the Block Rockin' Series a little while back but here we have a proper feature for you. Note, these are not available anywhere else on the internet!

Chilled with kinda Hip Hop vibes... Liquidstep?

All Green - The Boog-A-Loo Crew [RUDEEE]

This next one is definitely one of my favourite tracks at the moment, the production is sick! Some may have picked this up last week but here's a 320 which has also been improved. This is what I'm inclined to call Clubstep but fuck the categorising... BOOM!

Eurovision (Boog-A-Loo Crew Remix) - Zombie Disco Squad [RUDEEE]

Not only have you Hush House readers got two brand new tracks but they've recorded this mix specially for you too! This gives a sneaky preview of what's to come production wise and what to expect if you're going to see them play out. Definitely one for the iPod - parties, journeys, chilling, whatever you want, jus get that volume up!

01. All Green - The Boog-A-Loo Crew
02. Get Back - 501
03. Mash Potato - The Boog-A-Loo Crew
04. Love Don't Come Easily - Skream
05. Nice Up The Function - The Boog-A-Loo Crew
06. Eurovision (Boog-A-Loo Crew Remix) - Zombie Disco Squad

Most important...

Sorry for the lack of proper posts in the last few days but you should be taking notice of these flyers and making plans to attend! This Friday is the most important of all, not just because we're hosting the bar room at 93Ft East and have got a sweet headliner BUT, it's FREE! We all like free stuff hey?

If you haven't heard of Pirate Soundsystem before then check this comprehensive interview for what they're all about. And, they've given us this bassliney track which I don't think you'll find anywhere else.

She Loves Me (Pirate Soundsystem Remix) - Carvadeya & Jeeday Jawz

This is my favourite track they've done, and I think it summarises them to a T. Lots of bass, chopped up samples and overall a well put together track. Check their myspace for their edit of Tiga's "Mind Dimension" which I've been waiting to get for ages!

Non Stop Cut Paste (Pirate Soundsystem Remix) - Si Begg [RUDEEE]

"We will be playing a set of music best described as Berlin via Romford, with bits of rave, heavy bass and squelchy house sounds, maybe a touch of Dubstep if the pink bar speakers can handle it. Table dancing rave!"

I'm looking forward to it immensely and urge as many of you readers to come along and join the party. Facebook event.

You know when you're at someone's house and the party vibes are flying, you wanna listen to some decent new music but don't wanna keep changing/choosing the song on the iPod...? This is when it's time for this half hour of brilliance!

What seems to be the trouble...?

Tuesday

This Saturday...

Urban Nerds have sorted themselves a very special birthday line up in a fully licensed warehouse which has 3 big rooms with Funktion 1 sound. As you can see from the flyer there's a large range of different sounds catering for everyone's needs and creating a proper party vibe. This is not one to miss.

Monday

This Friday...

After a booming start to the year with South Rakkas Crew and Toddla T among many others bringing the heat, Trouble Vision returns to the arches of Corsica Studios with something extra special…

Not only is it Superfilth !!! this Friday (7pm-1am) but there's also this massive line up which has been named one of the top 5 nights of April by iDJ. You could probably have guessed this yourselves just by looking at the flyer. In preparation for this we have two mixes, one from each of the room hosts, Dirty Canvas and Dead Fish.

Dead Fish is the recently conceived imprint of the Italian come London based house don Mowgli, and this main room takeover will act as the Official Dead Fish Label Launch Party. It will also celebrate the second release on the label entitled “The Big Stef” by Solo.

To launch the label, Mowgli and Team Trouble Vision have pulled together an all-star lineup of producers and DJs which will definitely not disappoint. Heading the bill is Riva Starr. Riva had a huge year in 2008 with releases on Jesse Rose’s ‘Made To Play’ label, Claude Von Stoke’s ‘Dirtybird’ imprint and countless releases on Southern Fried. He was also branded one of the Players of The Year 2008 by iDJ, and 2009 is all set to be even bigger.

Next up, hailing all the way from Washington DC, Matt Nordstrom and Dave Nada, better known as Nadastrom will be taking to the decks with one of their 4 turntable specialty sets. After spending months at the top of the Beatport download chart last year, Trouble Vision are proud to be giving Nadastrom their London debut.

Wrapping things up in Room 1 are the core team behind Dead Fish as well has being the first two artists to release upon it. Solo and of course label boss Mowgli, with additional support from Trouble Vision’s very own resident Oli DAB.

Dirty Canvas will host room 2 on this occasion and keeping with the traditions of past Trouble Visions, it’ll be dedicated to a more dub-stepping-hip-hopping-dancehall vibe. Over the last couple of years Dirty Canvas have been true connoisseurs and general pioneers in the development of the dubstep and grime scenes within London, and the lineup which they have put together for us on this occasion is certainly in keeping with their consistently innovative and excitingly high standards.

Fronting proceedings in the Dirty Canvas room is the Bristol wonder kid and Kode9’s prodigy, Joker. With acclaimed releases dropping on Hyperdub and Tectonic to name a couple, Joker is definitely a big talent to look out for in the future. Next up is DMZ, Rinse FM and Fwd>> regular and super sharp DJ, Chef. With one of his characteristic 3 turntable sets, he is bound to set room 2 on fire. Further hefty support comes from the garage stylings of Oneman, the dancehall riddims of The Heatwave & Rubi Dan, the future bass of Mumdance, and last but not least Dirty Canvas residents Tomb Crew, Reecha and Magic.

Last but not least, Trouble Vision wouldn’t be Trouble Vision without the Silent Disco, and with the main two rooms already bursting with talent it falls upon our Trouble Vision residents to embrace the responsibility. The Boog-A-Loo Crew and Hylu will be flexing their reggae/dub infused stylings against the more progressive house cuts of Nick Wittingham, who in turn will be followed by the organized chaos that is The Wolf Soundsystem Feat. Lil’ Red and Grandma in The Bed who will be cutting it up against Solid Gold & Park Ranger.

With over 20 acts on the bill spread across 3 rooms for 8 hours of undiluted fun, and all for a tenner or less, its fair to say that Trouble Vision is swiftly becoming a truly essential event.

Fuckin' BONKERS!

What a way to wake up on Saturday morning! The sun is beaming through my window and I'm sitting here on the computer but... I have some important news/tunes for your ears. More of that in a minute. Thade went to Caspa's album launch at Fabric last night and said it was the best evening he's ever spent there so big up to all that were involved and I'm very jealous of all you that were there enjoying the tunes. He managed to get in with an AAA pass so has been pushing the Hush House word to all the top dogs so hopefully something will come of that. Watch out for some Caspa biz!

Back to the important stuff. Here we have a brand new track from Doorly. You may remember him from that monster Calvin Harris remix but if not, check it in this post. He's taken Armand Van Helden's anthem which features Dizzee and given it a slight twist. Big tune to try and remix and I think he's had a fair go at it and I'm sure it'd go off. The original tune, which Dizzee played at the end of his set at Snowbombing saw the biggest reaction of the week. The whole room was indeed going bonkers! There's been some controversy but to be fair, it's pretty good and most people love it so I don't think there needs to be any slating of Dizzee for trying to fit in with the dance scene. But one thing is for sure, Armand Van Helden should get most of the credit.

Bonkers (Doorly's Dubstep Remix) - Armand Van Helden

Next we have something a little special from the Canadian man DatsiK, this guy is really blowing up in the Dubstep world and is producing some seriously good tunes. Check the myspace for the track "Gizmo" - it's ruder than your local grimey kid hangout!

"Grimey industrial devious future ninja techbots wrapped in tinfoil and thrown down the stairs, only to be ran over by a steamroller and hung out to dry..."

Apples - DatsiK [RUDEEE]

We've had heavyness from Bassnectar before but this one is all about the sick beat and ragga(?) vocals...

Kingston - Bassnectar

Then two remixes which, I don't know if they should really be allowed to Dubstepified, everything seems to be getting the makeover, however the actual production of the beats behind the acapellas is pretty good. It seems the "Sweet Dreams" track has been done from scratch? Have a listen n see.

Sweet Dreams (2 Ninjas Remix) - Eurythimics [RUDEEE]
Mad World (Chemikal Dub Remix) - Gary Jules (myspace)

And lastly but not least, this track from Reso, with a suitable name for this post and on a large system it will do what it says on the tin!

Smash Yer Face In - Reso

Friday

How do you like your...

So here we have it, the first installement of fresh Dubstep which has been lacking around these parts recently. We were sent these a little while ago but I've been saving them for a special occasion as these two guys, who go by the name Toast, are very special indeed. You might be thinking what the special occasion is, well... you can decide that for yourselves! I'm just gonna go with that it's the 107th day of the year. Or are we in a leap year?!

There's an assortment of tracks here, all heavy (apart from "Bag"), squelchy, wonky and basstasty, which of course fits perfectly to what we here at The Hush House like! I'm afraid we're not allowed to give out the 320s so you'll have to make do with these for the time being or search the stores for them. Wizard posted something the other day about a compilation which contains "Puppy Phat", check it.

"OUR MUSIC IS WRITEN BY LIFE AND INSPIRED BY REALITY... WE ARE COOKED BREAD!"

Trouble [RUDEEE]
Only One VIP [RUDEEE]
DieABeatEase
Shipwreck
Bag

Hope you can find at least one that you love out of these! I like them all and "Only One VIP" is my fave but "Trouble" is Thade's fave... You decide.

Monday

My style is awesome. awesome. awesome.

Blatta & Inesha have been really impressing me for a while and since I'm having a bit of a side track from Dubstep (I promise there will be more very soon) I need to give them a mention. They are tight producers with the same kinda style as Crookers, they're a lot bigger in the scene than I first thought but have been left behind a little after Day n Nite... I wish the Crookers hadn't got so big! Anyway bouncey hard techy kinda beats with lots of bass are sure to go down well in the middle of a set. The other reason for this post is we've just been dropped this brand spanking new whirrer! Check it... (oh and please play these on decent speakers otherwise you'll just think they're rubbish!)

Ain't Nuthing Ta Fuck With [RUDEEE]

Where Is It? [RUDEEE]
Blow Up (Blatta & Inesha Screwdriver Remix) [RUDEEE]

They've got lots more lovely tracks on Beatport and, having just released their latest EP with Congorock which is called "Resolution", you should probably pick that up too.

And if anyone likes Techno (I kinda like the idea of this remix but I just can't get over the boring beat) check their remix of Eminem's "Nobody Listens To Techno" on Hypem or summink.

BLOCK ROCKIN' #7

Artwork by Invisible Ilk

This one in the series we have a kinda mixture of fidgetty wobbles and large basslines. Turn these right up and maybe even do a little wiggly jiggle.

1. Forced (Foamo Remix) - Cagedbaby
Sounds very much like Fake Blood.

2. Killa Sound (Feat. No Lay) - DJ Zinc
He's finished with the Drum n Bass but definitely not finished producing good tunes.

3. Refresh (Feat. Liz Lawrence) - George Lenton
This boy is talented. Chilled vocals with a lovely beat and bassline.

4. Ghetto Blaster (Hatiras Remix) - Tim Healey & Marc Adamo
This is what I would call proper Fidget. More wonky than a one legged dude on ket!

5. Drop It To The Floor (TADT Remix) - Machines Don't Care
When this drops... SQUELCH!

WHICH IS THE FAVOURITE?????!

PARTY LIKE US!

For the 2nd release on Party Like Us Records, AC Slater drops an epic banger that conveniently goes by the name "BanGer". Complete with deep wobbly bass, a face melting solo and robot voices, this blog favorite is finally receiving an official mastered release with 4 slamming remixes. Drop the Lime takes it straight to the dancefloor on his warped and rolling remix, with bonus fart sample. Baltimore superstar Tittsworth's remix is deeper and heavier with an amazing mash of techno and bmore. In house artist B. Rich fuses electro and dubstep influences together into a nuclear powered remix, and Clark Able brings the techno flavor with a driving builder of a remix.

Badman JAYOU!

Jayou, who we hopefully all don't need an introduction to, (but if you do, check here) now has my rating as a badman producer and with this latest update of tracks I hope you'll all agree too. He is constantly banging out new stuff and with only a year of Logic learning under his belt, this rude boy has a lot of potential.
