How's your footwork?
It was music that was just made to dance to, and thanks to the people at Planet Mu the Chicago Juke/Footwork scene has been broadcast across the world. With their second volume of Bangs & Works set to be released in November, the movement is sure to continue to grow.
What really caught our eye, however, is a series of footwork edits of classic jungle and hardcore tunes that have surfaced this year which were really highlighted by NYC's Travis Stewart aka Machinedrum in his recent mix for FACT. Included on the mix were edits from artists like Phillip D Kick, Distal, Chrissy Murderbot plus a whole slew by Machinedrum himself which became the core of his Ecstasy Boom EP.
The EP was only given away for a week in July to all who bought a copy of his latest album Room(s) but thanks to Machinedrum you can download his edit of Roni Size's 'New Forms' below.

If you want more music like this, check out Phillip D Kick's edit of 'Renegade Snares' below, from his two fantastic Footwork Jungle releases.
Renegade Snares (Phillip D Kick Edit) - Omni Trio
Both 4-track EPs feature edits of classic tunes by Adam F, Krome & Time and DJ Taktix are available to download for free, Volume 1 and Volume 2.
The third installment from Phillip D Kick is coming soon so keep your eyes peeled.
